What happens if my bin is not emptied by the municipality?

Bin Buddy is unable to empty your bin if the municipality has not done so — our service takes place after the municipal collection has been completed. If your bin has not been emptied, we will service it on the next available route day after it has been emptied by the municipality.

How am I charged?

Residents are invoiced in advance, on or around the 22nd of each month, for the applicable billing period.

When is payment due?

Payment is due upon presentation of the invoice. Outstanding accounts may be referred for professional debt collection where payment is not received within the required terms.

Do you use our water supply?

No. Our cleaning trailers are filled with water at our business premises — we do not require access to your property's water supply. All wastewater is managed and disposed of responsibly in accordance with applicable requirements.

Your bin must be available for cleaning after it has been emptied by the municipality. If the bin is not available or accessible when our team arrives, we may be unable to service it that day. Where possible, we will attend to it on the next available route day.

Under what conditions are you unable to wash a bin?

Accepted Answer

Bins contaminated with wet paint, pet faeces, engine oil or any other water contaminant prevent us from washing the bin, because the contaminant contaminates the non-potable water in our trailers and forces us to discard up to 400 litres of water immediately. Please ensure any water contaminants are bagged safely and securely inside your wheelie bin.
